Students learn about the role STEM plays in the defense of the infrastructure of our communities and indeed our nation from cyber threats and inferior data science capabilities.

You use water and energy every day, but do you know what it takes to ensure those essential services are safe, reliable and available every time you need them? In the STEM Public Utilities Learning Lab, learn how those vital resources are provided and what possible well-paid career paths water/energy/environment industries offer. From cyber security to water quality, and everything in between, there is something for every interest packed into this 5-day program.

Students will learn about the role STEM plays through the lens of law enforcement, fire protection, and emergency medical services in our communities. Experiences will include use of technology such as drones, cyber-security, and other resources.

Students will learn about the vital skills like coding, precision machining, and advanced technology related to manufacturing.

Students will learn how engineers apply their skills in a variety of fields, including healthcare, technology, and the environment.

Are you someone who loves spotting visual patterns around you? Do you enjoy solving puzzles and discovering creative solutions? If so, the "Patterns, Puzzles, and Problems Academy" is the perfect place for you! A fun and engaging four-day session designed for students who have completed 5th or 6th grade and are passionate about STEM, math, and games. You will build and design your own puzzles and games, solve exciting math challenges and brain teasers, and explore STEM skills in a fun, hands-on environment. On the final day, teams will present their creations. The top three team presentations will be recognized with prizes!


Imagine your job is to design a park in the middle of your city, creating a space that impacts and benefits many people. Using principles of engineering, mathematical equations, art and environmental science, create the park design of YOUR dreams. What will you plant that is beautiful and saves water? What designs will benefit the many different needs of the people who visit? How will you do all of this, stay within the city budget, and convince the city council to approve your project? When you join us for STEM FUNdamentals, you will work with your student team to create your own landscape architecture design for city park and a chance to win cash prizes.
